Job Description

The Opportunity:

The Lead Producer will oversee the entire game development process, from concept to launch and beyond. This position involves being the primary contact for external developers, managing project and milestone schedules, submission planning, and overall development plans, while providing ongoing oversight throughout the product lifecycle. Additionally, the Lead Producer will coordinate internally with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of product plans, identify and mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality gaming experiences that captivate and delight our audience. The ideal candidate is passionate about casual mobile gaming and keeps up to date with the latest market trends and news.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Collaborate with the Executive Producer to ensure all projects meet deadlines, stay within budget, adhere to the design scope, and align with broader portfolio and quality objectives.
  • Lead and manage relationships with external development partners to ensure all production and publishing goals are met, fostering effective collaboration and problem-solving.
  • Develop and maintain delivery plans, monitor progress, and coordinate backlogs to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality updates.
  • Ensure that the creative visions of the studio and external development teams are aligned.
  • Establish and refine production processes and standard methodologies for collaborating with external teams.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including game designers, artists, quality assurance, and engineers, to align project objectives and creative vision with external capabilities.
  • Review and evaluate game builds and milestones to track progress across design, creative, development, and production.
  • Proactively identify risks and eliminate roadblocks and performance bottlenecks. Resolve complex product issues through ingenuity, creativity, and any necessary means.
  • Inspire and empower development teams through continuous improvement and share learnings with the studio.
  • Act as an internal product advocate by crafting and presenting product pitches tailored to different audiences, providing visibility into milestones and challenges, and ensuring teams have the information needed to bring games to market.
  • Foster a healthy team culture characterized by open communication, transparency, motivation, commitment, and a focus on realistic goals.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in game development or product management across various platforms such as social, F2P, mobile, web, console, and handheld.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Producer in the games industry, including leading the development of game features and services.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and manage external development teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using project management tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of production, understanding common challenges faced by teams, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Demonstrated significant contributions to complex cross-functional projects, successfully delivering quality, adhering to schedules, and balancing scope, capacity, budget, risk, and time.
  • Experience managing a diverse team of developers, including programmers, artists, animators, designers, and testers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A passion for gaming with a deep understanding of the gaming landscape and the game development life cycle.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with licensed games is an advantage.
