As the Head of Product Design, your main responsibility will be to create a consistent design strategy for our products. You will lead the UX Team that has a passion for design and partner cross-functionally with the engineering, product, and marketing teams while collaborating with senior leadership during the product development lifecycle. You will provide guidance to the UX Team in developing concepts that deliver intuitive and high-quality experience for the end user while encouraging creativity, quick prototyping, and feedback. Your leadership will influence the user’s experience.

Expectations for Success
To foster a collaborative environment internally and externally
Develop and mentor designers to implement a holistic UX strategy aligned with business goals, customer needs, and industry best practices
Accountable for overseeing the end-to-end design process, from concept to launch, and ensuring that all designs are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Lead a team through the development and design of useful, usable and desirable products in a team environment.
Foster an environment where ideas flourish and innovative solutions are born
Apply use-cases and high-level requirements to create user-centered designs.
Champion a user-centered design design culture
- This role does require about 10-20% travel
Stay updated on design methodologies, trends, and techniques
Requirements
We are looking for the right person, not the exact list of requirements. If you believe your life experience has prepared you for similar challenges, we’d like to hear from you.
7+ year’s experience leading UI/UX design teams
Experience working on large scale B2B solutions
Demonstrated ability to influence and lead large, complex projects from concept to delivery and continuous improvement
Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Supernova and Miro
Familiarity with JIRA, and agile UX
Familiarity with ML, AI, mobile and conversational UI
Demonstrated accountability, organizational skills, and analytical skills
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Design, Art, Interactive Design, Retail Merchandising, or a related digital media discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and technical training. An advanced degree is preferred.

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Ookla provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000 /year up to $165,000/year.
