As a Hardware Design Engineer, you'll work on data center hardware system projects, collaborating with product teams to meet their goals. You'll lead subsystem and hardware design, gather requirements, define architecture, and drive products from concept to production. Close collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, product, and deployment teams is essential.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • 4+ years experience in enterprise hardware systems design
  • Hardware bring-up, debug, validation, and testing experience
  • Data center and enterprise hardware product experience
Good to have:
  • Master's or PhD in relevant field
  • 7+ years experience with enterprise hardware systems design
  • Technical leadership experience
  • FPGA/CPLD design experience
  • Experience with firmware, software, signal integrity, thermal, power, and mechanical disciplines

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in enterprise hardware systems design, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with hardware bring up, debug, system validation, and testing.
  • Experience with data center and enterprise hardware products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • 7 years of experience with enterprise class hardware systems design.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.
  • Experience with data center engineering, server, storage and networking products.
  • Experience solving complex system issues, technical innovation, and driving technical roadmaps.
  • Experience with FPGA/CPLD design, interfacing with other disciplines including firmware, software, signal integrity, thermal, power and mechanical.

As a Hardware Design Engineer in the Board and System Design team, you will work on hardware system projects to craft the solutions for current and future data center deployments. You will work with product teams to ensure that their goals are met with your systems. You will work with the ASIC/FPGA, Software, and Verification teams to ensure proper verification of features in our systems, and the Manufacturing teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and ready for volume production. In addition, you will work with Field teams to support systems that are deployed in the data center.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
