Job Description

Summary

The Events & Engagement Specialist will be responsible for developing, planning, and coordination of internal employee events with a focus on retention and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Leads in the organization in the coordination of employee activities and events, as well as any support needed during the activities or events.
  • Evaluates the success of each activity, event, or outing and identifies opportunities for improvement in the future.
  • Identifies and negotiates with a variety of vendors to solicit discount opportunities for employees.
  • Organizes company’s service award program and coordinates award presentations and celebrations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors used in events, activities, outings, and discount programs for employees.
  • Works closely with local HR teams, Internal Communications Specialist, and other relevant global teams to ensure brand alignment and appropriate messaging/content in all communications
  • Plan, coordinate and execute internal campaigns, including infotainment and educational activities designed to boost the employee experience, draft the material required for each initiative.
  • Administrative tasks requiring in-person and remote support
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in driving employee engagement through company-sponsored events
  • Minimum 2 years from managing projects (independently or as part of team of leaders) in relevant work scope (employer branding, content writing, marketing and/or communications/PR)
  • Experience from working on HR-related projects will be considered an asset
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, the ability to plan the work efficiently
  • A self-dependent team player with can-do attitude and strong passion for engagement as a means to boost the business and the employee experience
  • Thorough understanding of event planning practices and vendor management
  • Skills to include: Canva, Google Suite, content generating software, project management system, Vendor management system
