Job Description

The Director, HR Systems & Transformation will lead the integration, optimization, and transformation of Anthology's HR technology ecosystem. This includes overseeing Core HRIS (UKG Pro) and integrating other HR systems across payroll, time & attendance, recruiting, compensation, benefits, and performance. Responsibilities involve operational management of HR systems, developing and executing a cohesive HR systems strategy, leading a team, and partnering with various stakeholders. The role requires a strong understanding of HR technology, project management expertise, and the ability to lead successful HR transformations.

Anthology seeks an experienced Director, HR Systems & Transformation to lead the integration, optimization, and transformation of our HR technology ecosystem. This strategic leadership role encompasses oversight of Core HRIS (UKG Pro) and integration of additional HR systems across payroll, time and attendance, recruiting, compensation planning, benefits administration, and performance recognition.

 

The Director will evaluate our current HR tech stack, create recommendations for future solutions, and oversee their implementation as appropriate. This role will also lead a team to deliver on a holistic and innovative approach to HR technology, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enhancing the employee experience.

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

Operational HR Systems Management (30%)

  • Overseeing configuration, maintenance, and security for UKG Pro (Core HRIS) and Workforce Management (WFM) systems
  • Ensuring effective integration and performance of other HR systems such as UKG North American Payroll, UKG OneView International Payroll, Jobvite for recruiting, HRSoft for compensation planning, Bswift for Benefits Administration, and Quantum for Employee Surveys, Performance Management and Recognition
  • Providing advanced reporting and analytics to support data-driven decision-making
  • Troubleshooting and resolving HR systems issues, maintaining operational excellence

 

Strategic Leadership & Transformation (50%)

  • Developing and executing a cohesive HR systems strategy to streamline operations and enhance user experience
  • Conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the current HR tech stack; identifying strengths, gaps, and opportunities
  • Making recommendations regarding future HR technology solutions, negotiating vendor agreements, and managing implementation projects
  • Driving optimization projects for existing systems to align with business needs

 

Team Leadership & Collaboration (20%)

  • Building and leading a high-performing team, including direct and indirect reports, to deliver on HR systems objectives
  • Partnering with HR, IT, and business leaders to ensure systems align with organizational goals and workflows
  • Acting as the HR technology advocate, keeping stakeholders informed on priorities, updates, and advancements

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in HR systems management, including UKG Pro and Workforce Management systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading HCM platforms and integrated HR technology
  • Proven experience leading successful HR transformation and technology implementation projects
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Expertise in RFP processes, vendor negotiations, and project management
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Experience in global organizations with complex HR operations
  • Familiarity with private equity-backed companies and scaling initiatives
  • Background in HR service delivery transformation, automation, and artificial intelligence (AI)

 

Pay range is $137,500 - $160,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
