About the job

As a Data Engineer at Babil Games, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure. Your expertise will enable the efficient collection, storage, and processing of large volumes of data, ensuring that our data-driven initiatives are robust and scalable. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help drive insights and decision-making through high-quality data solutions.

Your Tasks

Data Infrastructure Development:

Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures

Implement data models and database structures to support analytics and reporting

Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across systems

Data Integration:

Develop and maintain ETL processes to ingest data from various sources into the data warehouse

Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and other stakeholders to integrate data solutions with business needs

Performance Optimization:

Optimize and tune data systems for performance and cost-efficiency

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution

Collaboration and Support:

Work closely with software engineers, data analysts, and product managers to understand data requirements

Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest data engineering trends and technologies

Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement in data workflows

Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role

Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud)

Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala

Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Experience in the gaming industry or with game-related data

Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts
