Job Summary:

About the Role & Team

Disney’s Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.

The Disney+ Global Content Programming and Subscriber Engagement team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Content Planning, the Content Planning Associate will assist in tracking Disney+ slate updates and collaborating with various teams throughout the planning lifecycle, such as Finance, Operations, Studios, Networks, and International Programming teams, to ensure alignment and adherence to business processes.

  • Support day-to-day for tracking slate updates within the end-to-end content planning lifecycle, coordinating with key stakeholders (including executives) throughout the process.

  • Support day-to-day content planning intake process, which includes adding titles to scope, capturing all associated creative and business details, routing for approvals, and communicating updates with cross-functional teams.

  • Support Sr. Manager, Content Planning with ad hoc strategic projects tied to function.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the team for slate-tracking processes related to the systems and tools we use, supporting efforts to improve these processes/systems.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar field such as content planning, slate planning, content strategy, or scheduling.

  • Experience with content planning tools; Airtable preferred.

  • Proven ability to excel in ambiguous roles and dynamic processes, adapting through self-reliance and resourcefulness.

  • Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.

  • Ability to manage and process detailed information while keeping perspective on the bigger picture.

  • Collaborate with others to problem solve and approach challenges with a solution-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to produce polished, accurate, and clear documents for internal stakeholders.

  • Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit

  • Strong written, presentation, and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Airtable, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Salesforce.

  • SVOD or Linear TV experience a plus.

  • Passion and insight into The Walt Disney Company segments, brands and franchises, the elements that define them, and expertise to build further audience engagement.

The hiring range for this position in CA is $71,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
