Job Description

This role involves Calypso application customization, troubleshooting errors, answering user queries, and providing L3 support within a large European Bank's Global Markets IT team. Responsibilities include customizing Calypso applications, working on message handlers, transfers, custom service creation, custom engine development, Swift message customization, scheduled task customization, and other back-office customizations. The position utilizes agile methodology and continuous improvement principles for business analysis across multiple applications. The ideal candidate will have experience with Calypso customizations, particularly in the back-office area, and proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.

Must have:

1-2 years Calypso customization experience (Back Office preferred)
Good understanding of Calypso architecture and APIs
Proficient in Java, OOP, Collections API, exception handling
Experience with message handlers, transfers, custom services, engines, Swift messages, and scheduled tasks

Good to have:

Knowledge of DevOps tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)

Project description

We have been engaged by a large European Bank to provide consultants to their Calypso program.
The Current position is under their Global Markets IT team scope to contribute in individual capacity on Business analysis for multiple applications by efficiently utilizing continuous improvement and agile methodology.

Responsibilities

Customizing calypso application

Troubleshoot errors and answer user queries.

Skills

Must have

1-2 years of working experience extensively Calypso customizations preferable in Back Office area.

Good Understanding of Calypso architecture and APIs

Customization experience on Message Handlers, Transfer, Custom service creation, Creation of Custom Engine, Customization of Swift Messages, Customization of Scheduled Tasks and other back Office customization.

Proficient in Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems and proficiency in object-oriented programming

Knowledge on Collections API, Control structures, access modifiers, and exception handling.

Nice to have

Knowledge of devops tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.
