Description

Hello and Kia Ora!

Entain Australia and New Zealand are committed to delivering outstanding and unforgettable customer experiences across the racing and wagering industry. We are now seeking a Broadcast Technician to join our Dunedin team. You'll be joining an experienced and knowledgable team with ample opportunity to learn from their success. You'll be immersed in the exciting and fast-paced world of racing and broadcasting, where you'll be surrounded by the likes of Engineers, Camera Operators, Producers, and many more talented individuals.

As a Broadcast Technician, you will be supporting the Outside Broadcast and Studio Operations within your region. This role is integral to the smooth running of our live broadcasts and is essential for ensuring a seamless customer experience. Key to your role will be the prevention and resolution of technical issues, as well as minimising the impact of unpreventable incidents. From the get-go you'll be supported and mentored by a dedicated team, so if you've got the drive and aspiration to learn and upskill then you'll be thriving on the field in no time.

Where and how you can work...

We have offices across both New Zealand and Australia. This position is based in Dunedin with a mixture of office and field-based work. You’ll be required to travel as part of the role for your field-based ventures, where it all happens!

This is a permanent full time position where you will need to be flexible across the week in line with team rosters, including some public holidays, long days, and possible late nights.

Your day-to-day...

  • Work collaboratively across the Trackside engineering operations to support the delivery of content across various platforms.
  • Analyse and diagnose equipment faults and implement solutions to mitigate risk and ensure continuity of live operations.
  • Prepare operational reports that outline technical issues which have arisen to maintain effective reporting.
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules to mitigate any potential equipment issues that could affect operations.
  • Work closely with on air operations and in conjunction with our vendors to maintain various systems, hardware and software.
  • Participate in regional and national engineering meetings to share updates, as well as highlight and resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Ensure timesheets and invoices are processed correctly and in a timely manner along with P-Card reconciliation and expense claims in accordance with Entain NZ policy.
  • Ensure regular OB and Tender checks are undertaken to ensure that vehicles are road legal, registration, WOF or COF are current, and any maintenance/repairs are flagged.

You're a match if you ideally have...

  • Technical qualification in a relevant field would be desirable.
  • A current Full Class 1 car driver's license. Additionally, a Full Class 2 License (or the ability to obtain this within first 2 months of employment).
  • The drive to work independently and autonomously, as well as the desire to collaborate with your team.
  • A strong work ethic paired with the ambition to consistently learn and upskill.
  • A forward thinking and anticipative nature, paired with the ability to pivot and adapt.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including a clear and constructive communication style.

About The Company

Welcome to Entain.

Our journey as Entain began when we evolved from GVC Holdings on 9th December 2020, but our brands have been paving the way and making history since the 1880s.

Today, we’re one of the world’s largest sports betting and gaming entertainment groups – a FTSE 100 company that is home to more than 25 widely recognised brands, such as bwin, Coral, Foxy, Gala, Ladbrokes and partypoker.

But that’s just the beginning. We’re constantly broadening our horizons and expanding our global influence. For example, our partnership with MGM Resorts International has allowed us to make waves in the US by powering BetMGM with our bespoke and top-of-the-line technology.

It’s with this unique technology that we’re revolutionising our industry, and we’re boldly working towards being THE world leader in sports betting and gaming. Really though, it’s the people that truly make us who we are. There’s over 30,000 of us around the world and counting, but we all play for the same team.

We’re proud to promote a culture that shatters barriers to unite, and encourages uncompromised diversity of background, thought and experience. When we win, we win together.

If you share our values and want to be part of the revolution, we want you on our team. With offices across 19 different countries, we have an excellent history of identifying and nurturing the finest talent on a global scale. We’re all about putting our customers at the heart of the action and, with us, you can help bring moments of excitement into people’s lives.
