Summary

Minimum 1 year of games industry experience in a production role or 3 years in a project management role is required.

Role Overview:

The Production Team at Firesprite are a key part of development, with extensive responsibilities and always looking for opportunities to innovate. We are a highly driven team who strive to deliver excellence, set standards, champion values, and key behaviours and support for all our teams.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic person with a knowledge of Agile development to join our team as an Associate Producer. You will be working alongside other production team members to support multi-discipline Feature Teams that are focused on delivering features from a prioritized backlog and facilitating Agile practices.

Ideally, we would love individuals to be based in the studio for 1-3 days per week, but we may consider those who have a preference for remote working in the UK.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supports with ensuring adherence to Agile practices, including the creation and planning of sprints and milestones.
  • Contributes to Task tracking for a sprint/milestone, through utilising project management tools and identifies potential risks.
  • Assists in ensuring the consistency and quality of the work produced by the Feature Teams they support, including tasks related to key milestones.
  • Supports with the bug triage process and demonstrates an understanding for the QA workflow.
  • Works with more senior members of Production to help manage work with JIRA/Shotgrid, helping to break work down into smaller tasks and ensuring tasks are clearly defined and estimated.
  • Runs daily stand-up meetings for Feature Teams where needed.
  • Assists in the risk management process by identifying and raising potential risks.
  • Contributes to building a positive, healthy, and supportive team environment.
  • Provides contingency for Mid/Senior Producers during absences, ensuring Feature Team work continues to progress.

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of 1 year of games industry experience in an internal development environment in a production role or a minimum of 3 years in a role that requires project management skills.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum and Kanban, and supports the implementation of Agile practices within teams.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence or other project tracking and bug database software.
  • Pro-active approach, actively seeking to learn and to contribute to refining processes.
  • Understands the importance of quality & risk management.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, attention to detail, process knowledge and ability to multi-task.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel).
  • Basic understanding of how to turn data into valuable metrics to report on progress, risks, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building lasting and effective relationships with colleagues, and peers.

Desirable Skills:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience in Jira of JQL, Rich Filters, workflows, backlogs and reporting.
  • Experience with Shotgrid (Autodesk Flow Production Tracking).
  • Experience on large scale, AAA games development with an understanding of all phases of production from concept to release.
