How you'll LEAD:

Universal Music Group is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Global Data-Engineering team. This individual would be responsible for providing direction to development and stakeholder groups in our internal E-commerce space at all levels. Ideal candidate would possess the right mix of technical, communication, and business skills required to lead and deliver strategic initiatives, while influencing decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

How you'll CREATE:

  • Work with Data Engineering team and broader departmental groups to organize, scale, and deliver data-driven technical solutions.
  • Leverage project and product management tools to track and drive deliverables.
  • Coordinate priority with E-commerce stakeholders and maintain cohesive roadmap reflecting latest deliverables.
  • Design and build well-engineered data product and project plans that support global E-commerce department needs.

  • Self-directed, equipped with cross-functional product experience, and driving deliverables end-to-end using project/product management tools: (JIRA, Confluence, Monday, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in a Technical Product Management role using Agile methodology and driving daily scrum ceremonies with large teams
  • Experience gathering technical and business requirements across departments for Engineering and business audiences, using milestones and KPIs to track progress of overall project deliverables
  • Experience driving steering committees for cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience delivering a product to market in a large-scale data handling role in an E-commerce focused data space (Preferred)
  • Intermediate skill in SQL with data analysis and/or data quality assurance (Preferred)
  • Motivated and resilient with strong analytical skills
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with polished written and verbal skills
  • Experience communicating with individuals at all levels, including C-level suite
  • Be a critical thinker who values the importance of always putting data into the appropriate context
  • A seasoned team player, accustomed to managing multiple projects with separate clients and deadlines
