Eaton seeks an Architect with 15+ years of experience in mobile app development (iOS & Android). Expertise in mobile architecture design, Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java, and React Native is essential. Technical leadership skills, CI/CD experience, and TDD/BDD techniques are required.

About the job
What You’ll Do
- Ability to create new/adjacent solutions/services in the IoT space in order to enhance the customer life time value of the products in the Eaton portfolio
- Act as a technical mentor and expert tech reviewer in domain. Review and approve Architecture/Design proposals based on requirements/statement of work and present to stakeholders/customers
- Continuously develop and contribute to enhancing the technical capabilities of the teams to provide best in class design in line with present and future business needs
- Influencing role in the creation of technology road map based on Product/COE Strategy globally and deploy them within the group and build organization’s capability
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders , ecosystem partners to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required.
- Proven 15+ total software industry experience, with focus towards mobile app development with iOS and Android platforms.
- Strong SW domain expertise and proven track record of creating solution architecture (fit for purpose) for IoT based products
- Strong proficiency in mobile app architecture design and development, with focus on performance, security, stability and maintainability.
- Experience with multiple programming languages, such as Swift, Objective C, Kotlin, Java, and/or React Native.
- Exeperience with modern deisgn patterns used with mobile application architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with cloud services and backend integration for mobile apps.
- Technically, lead a team of mobile developers through reviews, mentoring and technical guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers.
- CI/CD pipeline constructs /architectures for Dev/ML ops
- TDD and BDD techniques
- SW craftsmanship techniques for “clean code” architectures
- Innovation Leadership - Is good at bringing the creative ideas of others to market, has good judgment about which creative ideas and suggestions will work, Has a sense about managing the creative process
