Job Description

Mythical Games seeks an Ad Buyer to manage a multi-million dollar ad business across its game portfolio. Responsibilities include identifying and integrating ad networks (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.), developing and executing ad monetization strategies, analyzing performance data to optimize ad waterfall strategies, collaborating with creative teams, identifying emerging ad platforms, and partnering with data science to refine revenue models. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in mobile gaming ad network management, a proven track record of scaling ad businesses, expertise in A/B testing, data analysis, and strong communication skills. Experience with ASO and blockchain gaming is a plus.

We are currently seeking an Ad Buyer to help Mythical drive revenue growth across our portfolio of games. You will utilize your expertise in digital advertising, performance marketing, and mobile user acquisition to develop and execute effective ad monetization strategies to drive incremental revenue and user LTV.

This position would report to our Director of Growth, and would work with other cross-functional teams within Mythical to understand and deliver against company growth and revenue objectives.

Responsibilities: 

● Manage multi-million dollar ad business across our portfolio of games.
● Identify, contract, and integrate ad networks into our titles i.e. (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, AppLovin, etc)
● Develop and execute ad monetization strategy alongside our teams; including integrated ad spots within the games, ad waterfall, and network bonuses.
● Develop long-term partnership strategies with major ad networks to maximize ad revenue and incremental user LTV.
● Analyze ad monetization performance data to optimize ad waterfall strategies, targeting, impressions, inventory etc.
● Collaborate with creative teams to develop high-performing ad placements that resonate with sports fans and casual gamers
● Identify and test emerging ad platforms and technologies to diversify ad networks. channels
● Monitor and forecast key performance indicators including CPI, ROAS, retention, 
● Partner with data science team to build and refine ad revenue models and predictions
● Maintain relationships with ad networks and negotiate favorable terms and bonuses.

 

Requirements: 

● 5+ years of experience in managing ad networks, inventory and waterall, specifically in mobile gaming.
● Proven track record of successfully managing and scaling gaming ad businesses
● Experience with A/B testing methodologies and ad optimization strategies.
● Proficiency in data analysis and interpreting complex datasets to drive decision-making.
● Excellent understanding of key mobile gaming metrics (CPI, ROAS, LTV, retention, etc.).
● Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
● Experience with ASO (App Store Optimization) strategies is a plus.
● Familiarity with blockchain gaming and Web3 user acquisition is preferred but not required.
● Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

 

The expected base salary range for this role is based on the location where the employee’s work will be performed and is aligned to one of our three compensation pay range tiers. Base pay is just one part of Mythical’s total compensation package, which is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their efforts and contributions. This role is also eligible to participate in Mythical’s Corporate Bonus and Equity Plan.

Pay Ranges by Tier: 

Tier 1:  $96,000 - $132,000

Tier 2:  $86,000 - $119,000

Tier 3:  $77,000 - $106,000

Locations by Tier:

Tier 1 Locations: San Francisco Bay Area - California

Tier 2 Locations: Remainder of California (outside of the SF Bay Area), Washington state, Massachusetts state, New York state

Tier 3 Locations: All other states outside of California, Washington, Massachusetts, and New York

*The role is open to candidates in the following states on a remote basis: California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Texas & Washington

The base salary for each successful applicant will be dependent on a variety of factors, including work location, education, qualifications, competencies, relevant work experience, business needs, and market demands.
