The Video Content Creator - Social Media is responsible for supplying ongoing video content for all of Life.Church’s social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. This role will execute ideas developed by the Social Media Team and assist in generating new ideas for social media video projects. The daily responsibilities of this role will include shooting and editing original video content, creating alternate edits of videos to leverage specific platforms, developing a deep understanding of the daily/weekly/monthly social media communication needs of Life.Church. This role will also research techniques for improving the reach and effectiveness of Life.Church’s digital content and advising the Social Media Team, and other filmmakers, on learnings for future projects. The Video Content Creator utilizes their skillset to deliver outcomes that align with the direction of their team to further Life.Church’s mission and to reach people for Christ. 

The Life.Church Communications Group develops strategies for how our ministry meets people where they are and empowers them to become fully devoted followers of Christ. Through Social Media, Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications Teams, we introduce people to Life.Church, connect them to our mission, and help them take the next steps in their spiritual growth.

What You'll Do

    • Support and execute social media video content for all platforms.
    • Plan, shoot and edit video content for Life.Church global, Craig Groeschel, and nonbranded social media channels.
    • Optimize video content for specific platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.
    • Partner with Social Media team members to develop and execute on concepts and ideas.
    • Produce and test new content for emerging platforms.
    • Collaborate with Filmmakers to develop additional content for social platforms.
    • Support the overall strategy of the Social Media team by driving innovation.
    • Produce and test new content for emerging platforms.
    • Innovate new ways to maximize use of video assets.
    • Stay up to date on social media video trends as platforms change and evolve.
    • Manage consecutive project timelines and, on some occasions, complete projects same day.

Skills Needed to Succeed

    • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions and problem solve with innovation.
    • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
    • Excellent verbal, written, and oral communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
    • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure and provide vision to projects.
    • Strong leadership skills and understanding on developing and guiding others.
    • Familiarity with video camera technology and editing software, especially Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Working knowledge of current social media platforms and trends.
    • Ability to create content using a variety of devices from consumer to professional.
    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Video Production preferred.
    • 1+ years of experience in social media video content creation.
