Job Description

This role involves testing and upgrading European vehicle machine software, focusing on an infotainment system from a tier-1 supplier. Responsibilities include formulating road test solutions and plans, creating test documentation, analyzing test projects, writing test cases, conducting defect analysis and tracking, testing software functions and performance, and generating test reports. The infotainment system utilizes Android and QNX and includes features like navigation, media playback, vehicle controls, HUD, driver display, and 360° camera parking assist. Testing is performed both in vehicles and on a HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test bench, utilizing tools like DSA, ADB, and Canoe. Fluency in Chinese and English is mandatory, along with an EU/German driving license and automotive experience.

Must have:

Fluent Chinese and English
EU/German driving license
Automotive experience
Test plan formulation
Defect analysis & tracking
Test report writing

Good to have:

Vehicle test experience
Basic coding/C++ knowledge
Android/ADB experience

Project description

European vehicle machine software testing and upgrading, follow-up and solution of software and hardware issues.

What we are testing?

Infotainment system provided by a tier 1 company to an OEM. This system includes functions like.
1. navigation
2. Media ( Online music, Radio, BT music, USB music)
3. vehicle control ( Mirrors, windows, AC, sunroof, ambient Light)
4. HUD
5. Drivers Display ( Cluster Instrument)
6. 360* camera parking assist.
Etc. are some of the functions provided by this system.
The ivi system is based on Android and QNX system.
Mainly manual testing is done either in a vehicle or HIL (Test bench)
Tools needed:
DSA (Diagnostics tool from Volvo)
ADB ( for android Platform)
canoe ( for LIN and Flexray communication between different ECUs)

Responsibilities

Formulation of road test solutions and test plans, preparation of test documentation;

To be responsible for specific test project analysis, writing of test cases, defect analysis and defect's tracking;

To test of the product's software functions and performance;

To be responsible for analyzing test results and writing test reports.

Skills

Must have

Fluent Chinese and English

EU/German driving license

Automotive working experience

Nice to have

Vehicle test experience

basic coding/C++ knowledge

Android/ ADB experience
