Job Description

The Technology Researcher at Sony Interactive Entertainment plays a crucial role in collaborating with venture companies and academia. Responsibilities include identifying technical challenges, exploring potential partnerships, conducting hands-on verification of technologies, supporting global communication with partners, creating strategic reports based on research findings, and ensuring alignment between research and project needs. This involves negotiating contracts, interpreting technical information, resolving complex issues, and collaborating effectively with diverse teams. The role requires strong leadership, self-learning, adaptability, and excellent communication skills.

Must have:

Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering or equivalent
Strong understanding of technology and its alignment with organizational goals
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Business-level Japanese (N1 or equivalent), willingness to communicate in English meetings

Good to have:

Technical management methodology knowledge
Technical strategy skills
Extensive knowledge of cutting-edge technologies
Technical work experience
Knowledge of Asian languages

■職務内容 / Job Description(Roles & Responsibilities)

主に、下記のような業務をご担当いただきます。

・研究関係者と緊密に連絡を取り合い、技術的な問題を明確にし、プロジェクト加速のために調査すべき技術を特定する。

・ステークホルダーのプロジェクト・ニーズに合致するベンチャー企業やアカデミアとの提携候補を探索・発掘を支援する。

・パートナーシップ候補技術のハンズオン検証をサポートし、プロジェクトニーズとの整合性を検証する。

・ステークホルダーを代表して、ベンチャー企業やアカデミアとのグローバルなコミュニケーションをサポートする。

・調査活動から得られた技術的知見を、戦略的な重要性を含むハイレベルな報告書にまとめ、チーム全体に広める。

・リサーチテーマとプロジェクトの整合性を定期的に見直し、必要に応じて研究テーマを修正・改善する。

・ステークホルダーからのフィードバックに基づき、研究活動のアウトプット／成果がプロジェクトのニーズに適切に合致していることを確認し、必要に応じて改善を行う。

・顧客との契約交渉において、契約を締結する。

・論文等の技術情報を理解し、それを相手にわかりやすい言葉で伝える。

・複雑な交渉において、問題解決能力を発揮し、最適な解決策を見出す。

テクノロジーリサーチャーは、ベンチャー企業やアカデミアとのコラボレーションにおいて、技術的なフォーカスエリアに適合する有能な候補を発掘し、獲得するための主導的な役割を担います。

ベンチャーやアカデミアとのグローバルなコミュニケーションを主体的にリードし、候補技術の絞り込み、コラボレーション推進、ハンズオン評価などを研究ステークホルダと共に推進し、研究開発プロジェクトの加速に貢献します。

更には、リサーチ活動により得られた技術知見を、ハイレベルな戦略レポートとして発信し、グループ全体の技術戦略の推進にへの貢献も期待されます。
