Job Description 

 

We are looking for a Tech Lead for our Front-End engineering teams with experience in building high-performing, scalable, and maintainable web applications using modern JavaScript technologies such as React, Redux, and Pixi.js. 

 

As part of a talented software development team, you will lead frontend efforts on mission-critical projects, guiding the team in architecting and developing complex user interfaces. Your role will include overseeing frontend architectures, ensuring best practices, and leading the team through the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, and deployment. 

 

You will also mentor and develop team members, ensuring high coding standards and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. 

 

The role reports to Relax Chief Solutions Officer. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Lead and contribute to all phases of the frontend development lifecycle. 
  • Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performing frontend solutions using technologies like JavaScript (JS), React, Redux, and Pixi.js. 
  • Ensure designs are following technical and design specifications. 
  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code in SCSS/LESS, ensuring adherence to frontend best practices. 
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences. 
  • Conduct and oversee code reviews to maintain high coding standards, with a strong focus on performance optimization and clean, modular code. 
  • Mentor and guide the frontend development and QA team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration. 
  • Stay up to date with the latest frontend technologies, tools, and trends, and apply them to improve the team’s output. 
  • Support continuous improvement by investigating new technologies and presenting these for architectural review. 

 

Requirements 

 

  • B.Sc./M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven hands-on Frontend Development experience. 
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of frontend engineers. 
  • Strong experience in JavaScript (ES6+), React, Redux, and Pixi.js. 
  • Excellent knowledge of SCSS/LESS, CSS pre-processors, and frontend performance optimization techniques.
