Description

Serving Maryland and the Greater Washington D.C. area, SageCor Solutions (SageCor) is a growing company bringing complete engineering services and true full lifecycle System Engineering services to areas requiring (or desiring) nationally-recognized expertise in high performance computing, large data analytics and cutting edge information technologies. 

Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Proficient in Linux sys admin functions (including OS loading, patching, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, Samba, SSH, VNC, user/group management, etc.)
  • Experience setting up Linux servers and be able to share data between them and other computers (oftentimes Windows-based)
  • Experience assessing system vulnerabilities (SecScan, Nessus, etc.) hardening systems (manually and applying hardening scripts) and performing system/supplication-level regression testing
  • Experience implementing and administrating virus scanning applications
  • Experience with Shell scripting (Bash, other) to help make system administration, troubleshooting and automation tasks more efficient
  • Proficient in Windows sys admin functions (including OS loading, patching, Active Directory, Remote Desktop, virus scanning applications, Policy changes/implementation, etc.)
  • Experience setting up Windows servers (Server 2019, Server 2022, etc.) and clients (e.g., Win7, Win8, Win10, WIN11) and ensure data can be shared between them and Linux servers
  • Experience assessing system vulnerabilities (DirtScan, dirty work searches, Nessus, etc.) hardening systems (manually and applying hardening scripts) and performing system/application-level regression testing
  • Experience using Power Shell scription experience to help make system administration, troubleshooting and automation tasks more efficient
  • Experience installing, integrating, and troubleshooting GOTS/COTS Software/Applications on Windows and Linus servers (e.g., ability to take provided applications, install, and troubleshoot installation/running on the server)

 

Oftentimes one person won't be a rock-star in both domains, it would also work to be an expert in one domain but with experience in the other domain as well.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Ten (10) years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Meet IAT Level II – ex. Security+ (Sec+) OR be able to secure Sec+ certification or higher.
  • Basic understanding of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and processes
  • Basic router and switch and switch configuration knowledge, necessary for configuration and/or system hardening and compliance scanning requirement.
  • Elastic (ELK) Stack configuration and user experience
