Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Stylized 3D Environment Artist Senior to join our team. You will be responsible for creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environments, weapons, and hard surface assets based on provided concepts. Your expertise in Zbrush, Max/Maya/Blender, UV mapping, texture baking, and stylized texturing will be crucial in bringing our game world to life. You will also work closely with the team, ensuring your assets integrate seamlessly within our game engine.
Must have:
  • Experience creating high-poly and low-poly stylized environment, weapon, and hard surface models
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush
  • Low-poly modeling in Max/Maya/Blender
  • UV mapping and texture baking skills
  • Stylized texturing using Substance Painter or hand-painting techniques
  • Ability to interpret and improve concepts
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Intermediate English proficiency or higher
Good to have:
  • Experience assembling assets in game engines (Unreal Engine 4, Unity)
  • Material creation skills in Substance Designer
  • Rendering experience with VRay, Arnold, etc.
  • Understanding of modular asset creation
  • Ability to create tiles and trims, working with multiple UV channels

Superpowers
you have are

  • Experience in creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environment, weapons and hard surface assets on given concepts;
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush;
  • Low-poly modeling in Max/Maya/Blender;
  • Experience in creating optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Stylized texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing;
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea;
  • Good teamwork skills;
  • Intermediate English level and above.

You’re a rockstar
if you have

  • Ability to assemble assets into a scene in game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, etc);
  • Skills in the creation of materials in Substance Designer;
  • Rendering skills in VRay, Arnold, etc.

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

  • Create high-poly in Zbrush and low-poly models in Max/Maya/Blender of stylized environment, weapons and hard surface assets;
  • Be able to fully follow concepts and given style, correctly interpret them;
  • Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Create stylized textures in Substance Painter and hand-painted texturing;
  • Have a good understanding of the modular system for asset creation;
  • Create tiles and trims and work with multiple UV channels.
