As a Global Security Control Center (GSCC) Sr. Specialist, you will assist in implementing risk management strategies that ensure the safety, security, and protection of the people, assets, and essential business operations at TWDC. You will also have the responsibility of monitoring open sources for breaking news and current events that affect the company, our employees, and guests worldwide.

About Your Future Team:

The GSCC is responsible for supporting emergency and non-emergency events; researching global activities, call mitigation, event dispatching, and 24/7 event-focused global notification services. During emergencies, the GSCC directs and coordinates support by providing support for essential operational services, notification warnings of potential risks, distribution of employee information, and serving as the main communication intake point for Global Security.

Every day as a GSCC Sr. Specialist is unique, and depending on the day you might:

  • Supervise the daily development and dissemination of intelligence information and operational reports to support our internal partners in a timely manner.
  • Provide feedback on proposed mitigation strategies for country and regional specific threats.
  • Liaise with regional security partners to ensure training procedures and policies are implemented within GSCC acceptable standards.
  • Offer tactical guidance to approved third party security staff both domestic and/or international.
  • Serve as the first responder for information by assisting employees domestically or internationally with security- or travel-related emergencies.
  • Assist in the effective implementation of the Enterprise-wide employee travel safety and security programs.
  • Ensure proper distribution of updates via our Mass Notification Systems (i.e. Everbridge).
     

Here is what you will need to be successful in this role:

  • 5+ years working in a Communications or Operations Center related role.
  • Your briefing (verbal, written, & presentation) skills are of the absolute best, and have no problem interacting with high-level company executives, audiences, or law enforcement.
  • You maintain a calm & cool demeanor daily under extreme pressure or during emergency situations.
  • A multi-tasker who can receive & relay direction and coordinate several incidents at once.
  • Comfortable with voicing your opinion on assigned topics, prioritize issues, and initiate an appropriate response with minimal supervision in a challenging environment.
  • Flexibility is important to us, and we need for you to be open to working various shifts, or based on the needs of the operation, availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
     

It would be a plus if you also have these skills:

  •  You have led or supervised teams in a Communications or Operations related role.
  •  Strong interest and familiarity with domestic & international current events.
  • Managed aspects of training and overseeing the development & support of operations training manuals or curriculum.
     

Education is important to us, here is what we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree and or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in California is $84,500.00- $113,300.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
