We are looking for a Sr. Director of Enterprise Cost Management who is passionate about optimizing processes and controlling costs to join our team! This Sr. Director will bring a solution-oriented approach and develop strategies, implement efficient measures, and ensure compliance with policies to efficiently manage overhead expenses. They will help to create a Center of Excellence (CoE) Establishment where they will have the opportunity to build and lead a COE for strategic investment management to rollout industry best practices, drive continuous improvement, and develop and mentor a team of financial professionals! Reporting to the VP, Corporate FP&A, they will work closely with various departments to achieve our financial goals.

 

This position can be based in our office in Rhode Island or remotely in the Eastern or Central time zone with up to 25% travel to our Rhode Island office.

 

A day in the life of a Sr. Director Enterprise Cost Management:

  • Overhead Costs Management: Develop and implement strategies to control and reduce expenses, aligning with the organization's goals. Assess opportunities and risks as well as develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Advertising & Promotion Management: Support to CMO and Marketing organization on development, deployment, management, and analysis of total enterprise A&P.
  • Capital Management: Mature capital management process, facilitate the internal capex committee, refine standard economic evaluation and postmortem process.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with teams to build budgets and forecasts, monitor performance, and provide variance analysis.
  • Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB): Implement and facilitate zero-based budgeting processes, ensuring each expense is rationalized and aligned with business objectives.
  • Reporting and Expense Analysis: Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, including key performance indicators. Drive consistency in reporting and technology usage across all business teams. Analyze overhead expenses, identify cost drivers, and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
  • Operational Improvement: Evaluate and improve overhead-related processes and procedures for efficiency. Partner with procurement, legal and similar business partners to optimize vendor engagement, contract negotiation and associated process flows.
  • Business Partnership: Direct partnership and finance co-piloting with Global Function owners and provide cross functional collaboration and support to Business Leaders and Finance partners.
  • Policy Development: Develop and update related financial policies and guidelines.

 

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, focusing on overhead expenses and cost control.
  • Consistent track record of running overhead, capital and A&P budgets while reducing expenses and driving strategic reinvestment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Experience with ZBB methodologies and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Leadership experience, including developing teams and projects.
  • Ability to travel to our Rhode Island office up to 25%

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $152,000
  • Pay Range End: $297,800
