Position responsible for overall program coordination/management for new model launch and running change activity in conjunction with supporting departments (SCM, Purchasing, PPE, Engineering, Product Planning, DCC, Packaging, TCS, oCQE etc...). Develops activity schedules, ensures new part numbers are registered, and initial order quantities are placed with suppliers. Work with supporting departments to ensure milestones identified on new model activity timelines are achieved. Generates performance and metrics reports to ensure service parts availability at SOPJ (Start of Production Judgement), DJM (Delivery Judgement), and SOS (Start of Sales).
Job Responsibilities:
Development of new model timelines to support launch activities (on-going oversight)
Dowwnload of new model recommendation lists which contain new parts being established to support new model launch activities Utilization/Recommendation of changes to DCTs (Demand Coefficient Tables) and customer input to determine initial order quantities
Work with Purchasing to ensure POs are in place to ensure parts are being ordered to support launch activity.
Coordinate necessary team meetings to review new model launch progress and troubleshoot where necessary.
Follows up with Purchasing, PPE, and Inventory Control as well as affiliate departments to ensure milestones on new model activities are met including 95% to 100% part availability to meet SOS (Start of Sale).
Supports DJM activities with the plants and other affiliates such as NML, NMUK, NMX, etc.
Represents his/her project in various meetings with SCM, management, TCS, and purchasing.
Provide/Generate various reports to advise launch activity status
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline or equivalent work experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of directly related professional level experience; Previous supervisory or project management experience is required. Automotive industry experience a plus
Language: Advanced English
Computer Skills:
Moderate proficiency in PowerPoint, word processor (MS Word), spreadsheet (MS Excel), and other PC applications to generate and handle reports, managerial presentation and resolve complex business problems.
