Job Description

As a Software Engineer in Silicon Engineering Productivity at Google, you will design creative solutions, write maintainable code, and develop innovative solutions for engineering productivity software components. This role focuses on scale, high availability, and leveraging Google's infrastructure. Responsibilities include simplifying CI/CD processes, improving code coverage, enhancing development across the silicon organization, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience with software development, data structures/algorithms, and ideally, performance analysis and debugging. This role offers opportunities to work on critical Google projects and to contribute to the advancement of technology.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
2 years software development experience
2 years experience with data structures/algorithms
Design creative solutions, write maintainable code
Develop innovative solutions for engineering productivity

Good to have:

Master's/PhD in Computer Science
Experience with performance analysis, visualization tools, debugging
Experience developing accessible technologies

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Design of creative solutions to problems, write organized and maintainable code with minimal assistance.
Develop innovative solutions for Engineering productivity software components with focus on scale, high availability, quality, and usage of Google infrastructure.
Simplify the setup and maintenance of CI, code coverage, and more.
Improve development across the silicon organization and possibly Google-wide through tooling improvements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the development process, and influence the technical decisions.
