Job Description

This Software Engineer II position at Google Lens focuses on building the next generation of infrastructure for state-of-the-art visual recognition capabilities. Responsibilities include developing new tooling for system evaluation and debugging, leveraging coding and design skills to improve existing systems, and contributing to the advancement of Google's visual search technology. The role requires experience with data structures, algorithms, and software development in languages like Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of machine learning and large-scale infrastructure development. This position offers the opportunity to impact billions of users globally and work on projects critical to Google's needs within the rapidly evolving Search team.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
1 year experience with data structures/algorithms
1 year software development experience (Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
Build next-gen visual recognition infrastructure
Develop evaluation and debugging tools

Good to have:

Large-scale infrastructure experience
Machine learning knowledge

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with building Large-scale infrastructure.
Knowledge in Machine Learning.
