Job Summary:

Hulu’s Consumer Insights and Analytics team seeks a Social Insights Analyst with experience in consumer insights and social analytics. As a Social Insights Analyst at Hulu, you will use the industry’s leading social media analytics tools to craft insightful stories using data from social media conversations and habits to help drive the business forward. Using social media data and your analytical skills, you will become an expert in understanding how consumers react to our brand and original content on social media. The right person for this role is someone passionate about Entertainment and the related cultural zeitgeist while comfortable analyzing large social data sets to tell a cohesive story. They must be able to juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously. This position will be on-site up to four days a week in Santa Monica, CA.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the Social Insights team in planning and executing social listening and insights projects by monitoring social conversation and trends around our brand and industry. This could include tasks like reporting on Original shows and films, collecting historical data on our originals to create performance benchmarks, etc.
  • Partner and collaborate with the social insights team and key stakeholders across numerous business units to build out goals and measurement plans for marketing campaigns
  • Coordinate with partners (both internal and external) to gather and track all necessary information about our Originals social accounts in our suite of tools
  • Assist the team with strategic research projects using social data and primary research methodologies to help stakeholders and partners reach their goals
  • Social listening tool setup, including keywords, query parameters, and dashboards
  • Stay abreast of television, streaming, and social media news, trends, and standard processes

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of insights and/or social media analytics/insights experience, preferably within the media and entertainment industry
  • Result-oriented with the ability to work within strict time constraints while balancing multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects
  • Team player, collaborative, and inclusive
  • Passionate about insights, marketing, and entertainment
  • Strong PowerPoint/Excel and Google Slide/Sheet skills
  • Knowledge of market-leading social media tools (e.g., ListenFirst, Quid/NetBase, Helixa, Sprinklr)
  • Experience with social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A mix of agency, vendor, and client-side insights and social marketing experience
  • Experience at a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) streaming service or a research company working with a DTC streaming service
  • Experience with primary research methodologies and analysis

The hiring range for this position in California is $68,300.00 to $93,800.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
