POSITION SUMMARY
The Daily Wire is seeking to add a Senior Vice President of Public Relations to our team! We’re looking for an experienced PR leader to shape and drive our public relations strategy. As the SVP of PR, you'll be at the forefront of managing and enhancing the public image of both our company and our talent, ensuring everything we do aligns with our mission and objectives. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting our growth, safeguarding our reputation, and elevating our brand across all media channels. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Public Relations Strategy Development
Develops and oversees the implementation of comprehensive PR strategies in alignment with the business’ objectives that protect and elevate its public image. Leads the PR team in crafting messages and campaigns that resonate with target audiences and amplify the Company’s and its talents’ voices in the media.
Crisis Management and Media Relations
Serves as the primary spokesperson during crises, managing media responses and ensuring the company’s narrative is effectively communicated. Builds and maintains strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to ensure positive media coverage and to avoid and/or neutralize negative media.
Leadership and Team Management
Leads, mentors, and develops the PR team, ensuring that all members are aligned with the Company’s PR goals and are equipped to deliver high-quality work. Collaborates with other senior executives to integrate PR strategies with broader marketing, business and talent branding, and general business initiatives.
Reputation Management
Monitors and manages the Company’s reputation across all media channels, including social media, ensuring a consistent and positive public image. Oversees the management of public inquiries, responses, and any potential issues that could affect the Company’s reputation.
Strategic Partnerships
Identifies and develops strategic partnerships with media partners and other relevant stakeholders to strengthen the Company’s reach and impact. Ensures that all partnership activities align with the Company’s values and strategic objectives.
Other Duties as Assigned
Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Education
High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field is valued, but not required.
Demonstrated Skills/Abilities/Competencies
• 10+ years of professional experience in public relations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR strategies at a high level
• Exceptional leadership and solid team management skills
• Strong media relations experience and crisis management expertise
• Strategic thinker with the ability to align PR initiatives with business goals
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with the media and entertainment industry, including knowledge of current trends and issues
• Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes
