Seedworld Studios seeks a Senior VFX Artist to contribute to their expansive Metaverse project, Seedworld, built on Unreal Engine 5.3. Responsibilities include creating high-quality visual effects (VFX) assets, optimizing for performance, collaborating with the art director and other team members, and ensuring VFX align with artistic standards and game requirements. The role necessitates expertise in Unreal Engine (Niagara & Blueprint), along with proficiency in industry-standard software like Photoshop, Substance, and 3D modeling packages. The artist will also contribute to technical and artistic discussions and maintain thorough documentation of their work.
Must have:
- 4+ years VFX experience (AAA game preferred)
- Unreal Engine (Niagara & Blueprint)
- 2D/3D stylized VFX creation
- Maya/Blender/Houdini, Photoshop/Substance
- Collaboration & communication skills
Good to have:
- FX shader understanding
- Shader/material development

Job Details
VFX Artist | Seedworld
We are seeking an experienced VFX Artist to work on one of the biggest Metaverse projects ever Seedworld on Unreal 5.3.
As a VFX artist, you will deploy your excellent understanding of Unreal (Niagara & Blueprint) and usual artist software (Photoshop, Substance, 3D modeling package, etc.) to create and optimize particle systems, shaders, and other VFX that match with the Seedworld unique style.
Responsibilities:
- Create visual effects art assets that balance performance, efficiency, and artistry to achieve optimal run time visual quality and game performance;
- Research, conceptualize, and derive quality visual effects from references to apply to various aspects of the game;
- Collaborate with the art director, game designers, and developers to ensure that VFX meets the game requirements while adhering to artistic standards;
- Share knowledge and best practices with teammates;
- Actively participate in technical and artistic discussions and problem-solving;
- Ability to summarize his work and documentation for internal & external communication.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in similar roles with at least one AAA game shipped on PC or console;
- Prior experience creating 2D and 3D stylized visual effects;
- Experience working with Unreal game engine and Niagara;
- Knowledge of software like Maya/Blender/Houdini, Photoshop/Substance, Embergen, etc.
Desired Qualifications:
- Good visual and technical understanding of FX shader;
- Good artistic eye to complement the technical knowledge and ease collaboration with the Art Director;
- Strong knowledge of all the 3D requirements before shader (UV, Texture) and full game pipelines;
- Experience with developing shaders/materials;
- Fast, organized, collaborative, and able to handle feedback;
- Strong organizational, and communication skills and a fluent level in English along with an understanding of production values, deadlines, and priorities.
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of scripting (Python, HLSL, Blueprint) would be useful.
