Our team in Microsoft Cloud Security owns cloud services and an Azure product offering that continuously discovers and maps a digital attack surface to provide an external view of an organization’s online infrastructure. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with experience in designing and building products and services that process internet scale data while maintaining high availability and reliability. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Your expertience will help maintain and improve the accuracy and quality of the data that is collected to power services that help customers protect their digital footprint. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable software solutions using cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
• Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design and code reviews.
• Participate in architectural discussions, contribute to system design decisions, and ensure software solutions align with business requirements and technical objectives.
• Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
• System design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data/telemetry to make decisions.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing, to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
• Consider testability, portability/monitoring, reliability, and maintainability, and understand when code is ready to be shared and delivered.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Continuously explore new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance software development processes and improve overall product quality.
• Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach.
