Senior Engineer - ASPICE

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Wind River is seeking an experienced quality focal in compliance with ASPICE to join the VxWorks – santa anna team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation of practices that are required for product development in compliance with ASPICE, which are for safety-critical featured products used by our Aerospace, Industrial and Automotive customers.  As a team member, you will be involved with all aspects of the development of test framework life cycle, from requirements development to implementation to verification. You will work closely with the product management team and system architects to understand and implement the requested features.
Key Responsibilities
  • Helping to develop quality planning and methods in compliance with ASPICE to support VxWorks as well as helping Wind River to grow in its role in new embedded and enterprise market segments.
  • Take initiative to improve features and processes.
  • Contribute ideas for product improvements and iterations.
  • Collaborate effectively with global software engineering teams.
 
ABOUT YOU
Core Competencies & Demonstrated Success 
  • Experience in Quality Planning, Process Definition, and Methods.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Static Analysis Tools.
  • Hands-on experience in ASPICE Level 1 Implementation (further experience is preferred).
  • Understanding of ASPICE generic practices up to Level 3.
  • Ability to perform Release Audits and provide independent decisions on Product Quality.
  • Experience in Metrics Planning, Monitoring, and Analysis through Statistical Process Control methods.
  • Excellent Communication Skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams for process improvement and standardization.
  • Certifications (Preferred): ASPICE Provisional Assessor
  • CSM/PSM or any Scrum Certifications
 
 
Qualifications 
  • 5+ years of Software Quality Assurance experience in Embedded Software development projects.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance activities across different types of projects, including Software Development, Maintenance, Testing, and Test Automation.
  • Experience with standards such as ISO9001, ASPICE, CMMI.
  • Experience in implementing Automotive SPICE base practices (at least in VDA Process Scope).
  • Experience conducting Independent Audits and Assessments.
