The Senior Product Manager (Trust & Safety) at Epic Games is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and products to ensure a safe and secure environment for players across all platforms. This role involves owning the Trust & Safety product roadmap, driving initiatives from concept to execution, and protecting the community from harmful content and behavior. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering, data science, design, legal, and customer support teams; developing and refining community guidelines; championing player experience; and staying informed about industry trends. The role requires strong understanding of trust & safety technologies, data analysis skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Product Management partners with game development, publishing, marketing, and platform teams to provide a data and market-driven view of product strategy that aligns with business goals. As part of Epic’s Growth Team, we use our product expertise to identify and drive growth levers to grow our player base and business.

What You'll Do

Epic Games is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Product Manager for our Trust and Safety team. In this role, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end development and implementation of strategies and products that ensure a safe and secure environment for our players across all Epic Games platforms. You will take full ownership of the Trust and Safety product roadmap, driving initiatives from concept to execution, and ensuring the effective protection of our community from harmful content and behavior.

In this role, you will

  • Support specific product visions and strategy for Trust and Safety at Epic Games. Support our product roadmaps that align with company objectives and player and creator needs
  • Take full ownership of specific Trust and Safety initiatives, driving projects from inception through to delivery and evaluation. Deliver accountability for the success and impact of trust and safety measures across the organization and hold others to the same accountability standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, legal, and customer support teams to ensure the effective implementation of trust and safety measures. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and support for initiatives
  • Work with the legal and policy teams to develop and refine community guidelines, safety policies, and enforcement practices. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Champion the player experience by developing user-friendly safety features and tools. Conduct user research and gather feedback to continuously improve trust and safety measures
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and developments in trust and safety within the gaming industry and beyond. Benchmark against industry standards and incorporate best practices into Epic Games' strategy

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on trust and safety, security, or related fields. Experience in the gaming industry is a plus
  • Strong understanding of trust and safety technologies, including content moderation, machine learning, and user behavior analytics. Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of online safety
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to make data-driven decisions. Experience with data visualization tools and methodologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and present to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives from concept to execution. Strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of projects, with a proactive and results-driven approach to achieving objectives
  • Deep empathy for players and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive gaming experience

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA & NYC).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

New York City Base Pay Range
$202,701$297,295 USD
California Base Pay Range
$178,377$261,620 USD
