Description

Scopely is looking for a Senior Producer to join Slate Development Group and contribute to an ambitious new AAA cross-platform game, based in Culver City on a hybrid basis or remotely in the US & Canada.

At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.

Slate Development Group owns Scopely’s editorial and content strategy, including the company’s greenlighting, Game Development Framework (GDF), studio strategy (organic and inorganic) and slate-wide budget and investment strategy.

What you will do:
The Senior Producer will play a key role in driving our efforts across publishing and the development team to support our ambitious new AAA game. As a Sr. Producer, you will collaborate with internal and external teams to manage the strategy, execution, and overall readiness of our production capabilities across all gaming platforms (PC, Console, and Mobile). This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of this game.
You will report to the Executive Producer and work closely with all business stakeholders to ensure that our internal processes and capabilities are optimized to guide our game through the various stages of development.

  • Manage & Execute on Publishing Deliverables: Define, monitor, and report on important achievements in the publishing process, ensuring that all materials, content approvals, and deliverables are completed on schedule and meet the necessary standards.

  • Optimize Publisher Operations: Collaborate with the Executive Producer to set up and refine publishing processes, ensuring that all workflows are optimized for efficiency and effectiveness across the game’s lifecycle.

  • Take a Hands-On Approach: Be ready to dive into the details and assist with hands-on tasks whenever necessary, whether it’s troubleshooting issues, creating documentation, or directly supporting the team to keep the project moving forward.

  • Implement Best Practices for Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various cross-functional teams like QA, marketing, PR, legal, and Customer Support to ensure seamless coordination and that all publishing activities align with the game’s launch strategy and ongoing support.

  • Facilitate Publisher & Developer Communication: Act as a communication channel for specific topics between the publishing and development team, ensuring that all parties are informed, aligned, and working towards the same goals.

  • Support External Development: Lead and coordinate with external developers to ensure timely progress on specific areas of focus (e.g., ratings, submissions, legal compliance, etc.) and alignment across all relevant areas.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to publishing activities and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure the game’s successful launch and post-launch support.

What will you need:
  • At least 5 years of production experience in the video game industry, including a minimum of 3 years specifically with a video game publisher.
  • Proven track record in managing and coordinating production efforts across various platforms, including PC, console, and mobile, ensuring consistent quality and alignment with platform-specific requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the process of shipping a game, including handling ratings, first-party submissions, legal, and live operations.
  • Proven track record of delivering results, coupled with a strong passion for effectively using and collaborating with various applications (e.g., Google Suite, Jira, etc.) to drive project success, adapting as necessary to meet job demands..
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive schedules, monitor task progress and deliverables, and achieve timely completion of project objectives. Proven experience in organizing activities and providing oversight to ensure project adherence and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with executives in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate will approach the job with a great sense of urgency, enjoy taking the initiative, thrive at juggling multiple priorities, and seamlessly shift gears as needed.
  • Analytical, observant, and strategic, applying the right balance between data and qualitative information to decision-making.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

For candidates in CA, CO, NJ, NY and WA, the annual salary range is $114,000 - $168,000 plus equity, bonus and benefits, including healthcare benefits, retirement benefits, pet insurance, paid holidays, paid Scopely free days, and unlimited paid time off. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
