Job Description

Senior PHP Engineer needed to contribute to all aspects of a financial payment technology platform solution for a major Azerbaijani telecommunications company. Responsibilities include design, implementation, testing, refactoring, deployment, and optimization of services. Collaboration with product managers and other teams is essential. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of back-end software development experience, strong PHP (7.4+) and Laravel skills, and experience with HTML/CSS/JS. Experience with unit and integration testing and Agile methodologies is also required. The role involves building well-tested, scalable systems and mentoring junior team members.

Must have:

4+ years backend software engineering experience
Strong PHP 7.4+ and Laravel knowledge
HTML/CSS/JS experience
Unit & integration testing experience
Agile/paired programming experience

We are looking for a Middle PHP Engineer to join our team.
Our client is one of Azerbaijan's leading mobile telecommunication providers, with the most significant 49% market share and 5.0 million customers. Together with N-iX, our customer plans to develop a Financial Payment Technology Platform Solution that allows B2B interaction.

Responsibilities:

Contributing to all aspects of services the team is responsible for, including design, implementation, testing, refactoring, deployment, and optimization
Improving internal team processes by identifying what is working and what is not and taking action to change things for the better
Collaborating with Product Managers, the management team, and others to shape the vision for the team and its services
Building technology the right way by designing simple, well-tested systems that deliver value immediately, can grow over time, and provide insights into production performance
Helping team members improve through code reviews, pairing, and mentoring

Requirements:

4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience in back-end software development
Strong knowledge of programming languages and frameworks - PHP 7.4
1+ year of experience with Laravel
Strong knowledge of programming languages HTML/CSS/JS
Working with CMS: Evolution CMS - nice to have
Experience writing unit tests, integration tests and other test automation.
Experience working in an Agile + paired-programming environment with continuous integration and/or delivery
