Job Description

Senior Java engineer needed to design, develop, and support complex enterprise solutions for a large US-based retail company. Responsibilities include implementing new features, conducting code reviews, suggesting enhancements, participating in system analysis and design, bug fixing, code refactoring, improving test coverage, and handling DevOps responsibilities. The role requires on-call support and experience with Java 17, Spring 5/Spring Boot, SQL, Apache Kafka, AWS (RDS, S3, Lambda), and DevOps tools like Kubernetes and GitLab CI/CD. The project involves vendor compliance systems and utilizes a modern technology stack.

Must have:

4+ years Java 17
3+ years Spring 5/Boot
SQL expertise
2+ years Apache Kafka
2+ years AWS (RDS, S3, Lambda)
NewRelic/Splunk experience
Kubernetes knowledge
GitLab CI/CD
On-call support

Good to have:

Kafka Streams
SOLID, GRASP principles
Unix shell scripting
Full-stack experience

Project description

One of the largest retail worldwide company that located in USA needs a professional, effective and result-oriented team to design, develop and support complex enterprise solutions. This solutions include logistic applications used various supply chain methodologies.
You will have a great chance to join the project during its evolving stage.
Team develops and supports vendor compliance systems, using the modern stack of technologies, works closely with warehouse operations teams to provide the high-quality solution. For the leading fashion retailer who is offering compelling clothing, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and kids.

Responsibilities

Implement new features

MR review for other team members

Suggest enhancements

Participate in system analysis and design

Bugfix existing features

Refactor existing code

Improve test coverage

Devops responsibilities & knowledge of devops tools

On-call support

Skills

Must have

4+ years of experience with Java 17

3+ Spring 5/Spring Boot

SQL

2+ years with Apache Kafka

2+ years of AWS (RDS, S3, Lambda)

Logging & Monitoring: NewRelic, Splunk, or similar

Kubernetes

expertise with GitLab CI/CD (or any CICD tool)

Nice to have

Readiness to work with full-stack

Kafka Streams

SOLID, GRASP (the more the candidate knows

better)

Unix shells and scripting (bash, sh)
