Job Summary:

Do you want to help shape the future of the Disney Experiences Finance organization? Come join the Finance Transformation team to define future processes and drive the long-term data strategy for finance!

We are looking for forward-thinking individuals who embrace innovative technologies, challenge existing processes, and want to collaborate across our global finance organization.

Ideal candidates will have a finance background with forecast & planning experience, are highly collaborative, adaptable to working in a dynamic environment, and eager to build strong relationships across finance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support initiatives related to data definition and the design of new, integrated forecast and plan processes.
  • Consolidate inputs from global partners, summarizing key insights for leadership.
  • Collaborate with project partners to document and standardize key business definitions and evaluate current state forecast and planning processes.
  • Track and monitor data definition progress using Power BI, ensuring updates are accurate and responding to partner feedback.
  • Gather feedback to measure project impacts to assist in preparing executive updates.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the tools shaping the future of Finance, including Alation (i.e., Data Catalog), Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), Power BI, Power Apps, Smartsheet, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial planning and/or accounting.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams (e.g., Finance, Business, Technology, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and Power Apps.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to evaluate conflicting feedback and recommend solutions to align definitions across stakeholder groups.
  • Advocate for change, with experience challenging existing processes and implementing process improvements. 
  • Ability to collaborate and influence action across diverse stakeholders.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and prioritization to meet strategic business objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interacting with and influencing varied levels of the organization
  • Business intelligence/data warehousing or reporting system experience (e.g., Enterprise Data Platform (EDP), Cognos, MS SQL Report Builder, Python, etc.)
  • Ability to evaluate processes and distinguish between symptoms and root causes

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting, Business Administration, Data Science, related field, or equivalent work experience
