Job Description

The Senior Roto/Paint Artist will collaborate closely with compositors to seamlessly integrate image elements, producing high-quality visual effects shots for feature films. Responsibilities encompass 2D tracking, matte extraction, rig removal/paint fixes, 3D camera projections, clean plate creation, grain matching, spline-based roto creation, sophisticated shape creation and editing, shape animation (manual and tracker-based), shape compositing (including fill modes and opacity), and compositing roto, plate, and color correction nodes for rendering and review. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of Nuke (Maya experience is a plus) and at least one year of experience in feature film VFX.
Must have:
  • At least 1 year experience in feature films
  • Proficient in Nuke
  • 2D tracking, matte extraction, rig removal
  • Clean plate creation, grain matching
  • Shape creation, editing, and animation
  • Compositing roto, plate, and color correction nodes
Good to have:
  • Experience with Maya
The Roto / Paint Artist works closely with Compositors to help integrate all elements of an image to create film visual effects shots of the highest quality possible.

    • Knowledge of Nuke (experience in Maya is a plus)
