The Regional Head of Depot Management at Maersk is responsible for leading Depot Product's PnL activities, including innovation, development, and implementation of new regional and global depot product offerings, while supporting key sales pursuits. This role demands maximizing profitability, leading regional innovation, collaborating with the Global Depot Product Team, ensuring effective rollout of services and solutions (including training), supporting sales through existing capabilities and product innovation, defining strategic direction for growth, leading development projects, acting as a focal point for cross-product depot solutions, expanding product offerings into major markets, and collaborating with Growth Enablement for new rollouts and regional support. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of global logistics and supply chain fundamentals, as well as proven account management and commercial skills.
Must have:
  • 8-10 years Logistics experience (2+ years in Inland Depot/Warehousing)
  • 2-5 years International Commercial/Product Development Management
  • Strong execution, account management, and commercial skills
  • Supply chain fundamentals understanding

About the role:

Responsible for leading the Depot Product’s PnL activities inclusive of the innovation, development, and implementation of new Regional and Global Depot product offerings, while supporting key sales pursuits.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for all activities and actions within the Product with target of maximizing profitability.

  • Responsible for leading Regional innovation/new services and solutions pipeline based on market/customer needs.

  • Assumes a collaborative role within the Global Depot Product Team to drive new product solutions across regions and areas.

  • Ensures all standard services and solutions are effectively packaged and rolled out (including associated training programs) to facilitate effective marketing, selling, implementation and execution.

  • Supports key sales pursuits primarily through leverage of existing capabilities but also through product innovation or customization, where strategically required, to ensure differentiation and value creation to our existing and potential customers.

  • Defines the strategic direction for growth areas outside the current scope of the Depot Product ensuring continued expansion of services and growth potential for the product.

  • Leads or participates in customer or product specific development projects delivering new services or optimized operating platforms.

  • Be a focal point / sounding board on regional cross product depot solution projects and products in order to provide support as necessary with focus on growing a truly integrated product solution.

  • Work with Maersk owned, JV manageed, or Third-Party vendor teams to expand product offerings into all major metro markets.

  • Working alongside Growth Enablement, ensure new NAM & global rollouts are made available to all Regional teams and provide strategic support and training for the region (Front line sales and Vertical Products).

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred

  • 8-10 years of Logistics experience required with minimum of 2 years Inland Depot, Warehousing or Container Terminal Logistics experience

  • 2 to 5 years of International Commercial / Product or Business Development Management experience required

  • A strong execution minded individual with proven account management and commercial skills, good judgment and strong operational understanding including an understanding of systems.

  • Understanding of supply chain fundamentals associated with global logistics

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills

  • A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player with a collaborative mindset

  • Self-motivated individual, who can complete tasks without supervision

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to train, coach, evaluate and mentor

  • Strong and current knowledge of internal (Maersk) technology platforms, MS Office products, and ability to quickly adapt to new software or technology.

Job Type: Full Time

Salary: $145,000 - $185,000 USD*

Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for Health Insurance, Paid Time Off, and 401k Match.

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors, such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
