Job Description

The Regional Electrical Engineer at Google's Data Center Engineering team will be responsible for the design, construction, and operation of electrical infrastructure in data centers. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 5+ years of experience in data center electrical design, construction, and operation. Responsibilities include preparing documents (scope of works, engineering analysis, etc.), developing electrical infrastructure in data center projects, and collaborating on modifications to existing infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have experience in interdisciplinary engineering coordination and be familiar with mechanical infrastructure systems, data center architecture, fire engineering, or technical infrastructure. The engineer will work with a team of experts, generating ideas, communicating recommendations to senior executives, and driving implementation alongside facilities technicians.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of data center electrical experience
Experience in interdisciplinary engineering coordination
Prepare engineering documents and conduct site inspections

Good to have:

Experience in mechanical infrastructure systems
Data center architecture knowledge
Fire engineering or technical infrastructure experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in data center electrical design, construction, and operation.
Experience in interdisciplinary engineering co-ordination.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in mechanical infrastructure systems, data center architecture, fire engineering, or technical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Provide and prepare documents including scope of works, engineering analysis, design and review, engineering work demarcations, specifications and documentation, facility audits, commissioning support, site inspections and work acceptance.
Be involved in the development of electrical related infrastructures in data center projects from site evaluations to final turnover, and modifications to existing infrastructures.
