Job Description

As a Reality TV Writer at Absolute Sports, you'll be responsible for writing 4-5 articles daily, reviewing reality TV shows (thorough research is a must), monitoring daily controversies and news, tracking social media trends and Google Trends, pitching story ideas, and working with the editorial team. You'll need to meet deadlines and be available for real-time coverage of breaking news. The role requires a Bachelor's degree (English/Journalism/Mass Communication preferred) and at least 2 years' experience in entertainment reporting. Success in breaking entertainment news and excellent time management are essential. The role involves working the night shift (7 PM to 3 AM IST).

The Opportunity

Experience: 1-2 years

Role: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Write 4-5 articles a day.
Review reality TV shows (thorough research skills mandatory).
Monitor day-to-day controversies and news centering on the shows, keep tabs on social media trends, and become familiar with Google Trends.
Pitch interesting story ideas.
Open to feedback from the editorial team.
Able to meet deadlines, available for real-time coverage of off-field angles when they’re pushed out.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English/ Journalism/ Mass communication is preferred.
Has at least 2 years of experience in entertainment reporting.
Understands industry terms and has previous success in breaking entertainment reporting.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
Willing to work in the night shift (7PM to 3AM IST).
