The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rapid manufacturing processes and techniques, with extensive knowledge of working with a variety of materials including solids, sheet metals, and plastics. This role requires a hands-on approach to the entire design and manufacturing process, from concept design to producing ready-to-use parts. The successful candidate will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the development and testing of prototype models for various projects.

About You:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute rapid prototyping efforts using a variety of techniques such as 3D printing (FDM, DLP, SLA), urethane casting, silicone casting, and over-molding.
- Troubleshoot and maintain 3D printers and related equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Apply slicing and post-processing techniques to prepare 3D printed parts for final assembly.
- Design molds, jigs, and fixtures to support the prototyping and manufacturing process.
- Participate in the assembly and testing of prototype models, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Manage inventory specific to rapid prototyping needs, ensuring materials and parts are available and organized.
- Source parts locally or internationally as required for the development of prototypes.
- Develop rapid prototyping test rigs to accelerate project development and testing phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure prototypes meet design specifications and project timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in rapid prototyping and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining 3D printers (FDM, DLP, SLA).
- Strong knowledge of slicing and post-processing techniques for 3D printed parts.
- Experienced in urethane casting, silicone casting, and over-molding techniques.
- Ability to work on assembly and testing of prototyping models.
- Excellent inventory management skills for rapid prototyping materials and parts.
- Proven track record of sourcing parts for prototype development.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
