Job Description

As a Product Manager, YouTube Data at Google, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of YouTube's commerce platform. You'll work closely with engineering teams in Bengaluru and San Bruno to build out data foundations, establish team culture, and execute on tooling product goals. Your responsibilities include defining and aligning product roadmaps, crafting Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), managing launches, and providing consistent communication on product status and insights. You'll collaborate with engineers, Program Managers, UX, and other stakeholders to ensure successful product development and launch.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
5 years of experience in product management
Experience developing Internet products and technologies
Experience working cross-functionally
Experience in data modeling
Intermediate level SQL
Excellent communication skills

Good to have:

Experience in commerce-related products
Experience in product internationalization
Experience with platform APIs and tooling

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in product management.
Experience developing Internet products and technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in commerce-related products, focusing on platform APIs and tooling.
Experience in product internationalization, especially for commerce-related products.
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders.
Experience in data modeling and Intermediate level SQL.
Excellent organization, problem-solving, and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Build out the Data Foundations for the Commerce Platform, in partnership with the Engineering Leads in Bengaluru and the cross-functional team in San Bruno. Be instrumental in establishing team norms and culture, serve as the key point of contact to the global team, and partner to establish goals of the team.
Execute on the Tooling product goals and strategy. Validate proposals, both in terms of feasibility, and market size and opportunity.
Define, own, and align teams on product roadmaps that operationalize a defined strategy.
Own Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and launches, collaborating with partner teams (e.g., engineers, Program Managers, UX).
Manage and consistently communicate qualitative and quantitative status and product insights.
