Proposition and Solution Consultant – Wealth (Investment Managed)

Department Overview:


The role is within the Solution Consulting and Product team which is a function that sits within the SS&C Global Investor and Distribution Services (GIDS) group whom are responsible for driving forward proposition initiatives to deliver innovative market leading Products and services to the Global Financial Industry. 


Position Overview:


The candidate will be expected to support the defining and driving forward of the propositional offering(s) for Investment Managed Wealth which will require working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including and not limited to product owners, change management and delivery.

Candidate is expected to bring a solid domain knowledge of the wealth management functional processes and industry knowledge to the role and to use this in a consultancy nature to aid internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will also be expected to support new sales opportunities through understanding prospect client requirements and objective and identifying propositions that meet them. 

You will report into the Proposition and solution consultant lead.

Responsibilities:


To keep domain knowledge up to date across:
•    Wealth management end to end functions.
•    SS&C products 
•    Regulatory change
•    Industry trends
•    Market competitors and associated products

To support Wealth Proposition(s) leads in
•    Innovating in identifying and defining new wealth propositions for new or existing markets.
•    Working with and driving forward wealth proposition offerings with internal and external product owners / stakeholders
•    Documenting wealth proposition offerings
•    Being aware of change and road maps of products and applying influence with product owners as applicable to ensure alignment to wealth propositions.
•    Keeping up to date with product releases and ensuring propositional documents are updated as required.
•    Attending design authority when applicable
•    To work with other Wealth Leads to ensure synergies and efficiencies in Wealth propositions as a whole.
•    Providing consultancy to internal stakeholders as required

To provide pre sales support covering:
•    Leading on identifying customer needs and proposing relevant propositions to meet these needs.
•    Participating / leading customer demos 
•    Supporting the completion of RFIs and RFPs
•    Providing propositional relevant documentation
•    Supporting / driving scope and lower-level discovery activities
•    Supporting Sales initiatives

Others:


•    Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders / product owners and consultants

Regulatory core requirements:
•    To exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the role is responsible for are organised and controlled.
•    To uphold responsibilities for risk and business continuity practices as appropriate to the position the role holds within the organisation.
•    To comply with the regulatory regimes in which SS&C operates, with particular consideration given to relevant Client Asset, Data Protection and Financial Crime Prevention regulations, as appropriate to the above role.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications


•    Knowledge of Wealth market place
•    End to end wealth functional knowledge covering - Onboarding / Offboarding, Money in / out, Transfers In/Out, Portfolio  Management, Order Management, Trading and settlement, Corporate actions, Dividends, Capital Gain Tax, Regulatory Reporting and client communications
•    Wealth product knowledge; General investment accounts, ISAs, JISAs, LISAs, On/Off shore bonds, Pension products 
•    Experience in both Software and BPO propositions in Wealth
•    Experience in a client facing role
•    Proven analytical skills 
•    Previous roles in Business Analysis or Business Architecture or Solution consultancy within Wealth Industry
•    Strong and proven interpersonal skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Good influencer and negotiator
•    Proven champion of change
•    Self-motivated 
•    Ability to lead and take ownership to ensure a high quality deliverable
•    Working experience of Analysis and Design methodology
•    Experience of working in Agile methodology

Location – UK (Hybrid; commutable to London)
