Position Overview
The Autodesk Takeoff team, part of Autodesk Construction Cloud, is looking for a motivated and inquisitive software developer to join our team. Our team is looking for a full stack software developer to join us as we continue to innovate the quantification workflows for estimators, add new features to Autodesk Takeoff and support our existing cloud offering as we grow and expand into new markets.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, debug and test new features
Design, develop, debug, test and deploy infrastructure changes Document decisions and code design changes
Break down complex initiatives into workable chunksCollaborate with designers, product manager, architects to improve the product with a focus on the user experience
Ensure new code, feature or software product meets performance goals/metrics Work with a small team, following agile methodologies
Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to standards Participate in team retrospectives and feedback loops to improve how we work Support the production service by periodically being on-call.
Minimum Qualifications
Post secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience working in a software developer role
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Typescript, React, etc
Hands-on experience with implementing unit and integration tests Familiarity with the software development process, including specification, quality assurance, and documentation
Flexibility under changing conditions and the ability to multi-task between projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Experience with Agile software development practices Experience with cloud patterns and best practices
Experience working with AWS technologies
Experience designing and implementing SQL queries and managing database infrastructure (PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, Amazon RDS, or similar) Experience using Docker to build containerized applications
Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (NewRelic, Splunk, etc...) Experience working with and customizing CD/CD pipelines

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $131,500 and $180,840. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Diversity & Belonging
