Summary

The People & Culture (P&C) Coordinator is a crucial role supporting the CNN P&C team in London, providing first-class HR services to EMEA managers and employees. Responsibilities include acting as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries (benefits, policies, etc.), participating in internal meetings and projects, supporting recruitment (job postings, requisition creation, tracking stats), assisting with immigration and relocation processes, managing onboarding/offboarding, supporting employee relations, and contributing to various projects (e.g., compensation data validation). The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, proficiency in Word and Excel, and the ability to handle confidential information. A desire for a generalist HR career is essential.

Your New Role…

The P&C Coordinator is a key role supporting the CNN People & Culture team based out of the London Bureau offering a first-class HR service to all managers and employees across EMEA.

You will be actively involved in helping to deliver an HR agenda across the CNN International and CNN International Commercial teams in partnership with our HR centres of excellence and the local HR team.

Your Role Accountabilities…

  • Employee Connection (EC): 

Working closely the EC team you will be one of the first points of contact for employees who have specific questions ranging from benefits, policies, letters, contracts to name but a few!

  • Internal meetings and projects groups:

Attend and participate in regular internal meetings with the employee connections team as well as other functions as required. Be an active member of specific project groups and to help improve on our processes and develop your own knowledge and skills.

  • Recruitment:

Work with the department managers to help process and monitor open positions, create new job requisitions on workday and be the point person in tracking recruitment stats as required. You will ensure that all job descriptions are reviewed and have agreed salary ranges in place. Assist with freelancer requests and help educate hiring managers on our internal freelancer processes and systems.

  • Immigration & Relocation:

Work closely with external providers/legal/global mobility and assist with visa applications and relocation submissions; monitor visa tracker (right to work) alongside the EC team.

  • Onboarding and Offboarding:

Liaise with EC accordingly ensuring all onboarding / offboarding requests are processed correctly notifying the relevant teams as required Security, Business Operations etc). Be point of contact for induction and stay close to any exit interview data as well as consistently looking for ways on how we can improve their employee experience.

  • Employee Relations:

Note-taking for Employee Relation cases, assist with meeting scheduling, letters, severance calculations, outplacement initiation (liaising with EC as required).

  • Project Support:

Be an active team member attending projects as required, such as annual comp data validation, career banding, salary benchmarking review, P&C newsletter. Challenge the norm and always look for ways for us to deliver the best product to our teams as possible.

  • Other Activities!

Outside of the day to day you could be involved in a variety of other areas of focus such as responding to ad hoc questions from employees which cannot be dealt via EC; ad hoc letters and tenancy references, occupational health submissions helping download/create/manage reports to creating organisational charts. If you want variety then this is the role for you!

Qualifications & Experience…

  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organisation skills and follow-through.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience balancing multiple deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Good level of proficiency with Word and Excel; PowerPoint useful.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated with a good sense of humour!
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work; strong willingness to learn and get involved with duties outside of day-to-day job description.
  • Must be discreet, diplomatic and able to manage highly confidential information.
  • Desire to pursue a career in generalist HR.
  • Experience with Workday or other HCM systems is desirable, but training can be provided.
  • An Ability to remain calm under pressure is key.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
