The Operational Manager - Sportsbook oversees and manages pre-match, live, and risk sportsbook operations in Malaga, Spain. Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Math, or related field

Position at LeoVegas Group

The Operational Manager’s role is to oversee and manage the pre-match, live & risk sportsbook operation in Malaga with the main aim being of maintaining a high standard all-round offer and product, risk control and contributing towards the Company’s sportsbook KPIs. In this role, the candidate would be working very close with the managers and teams in our Colombia Bookmaking Operations Team and other Bookmaking stakeholders in the various locations.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: 
 
  • Monitoring of Sportsbook offer & quality (suggest areas for improvement).
  • Ensuring that the Sportsbook product reaches its profitability targets while also keeping the offer up to standards within the industry in terms of pricing & content.
  • Research, Reporting, Training & Education of current / new employees.
  • Managing the process of documentation, trading tools & procedures in the Sportsbook team.
  • Establish good communication and working synergies between teams in different locations.
  • Setting up and managing the Performance Management process for all Sportsbook employees.
  • Assisting in the data collection and in other tasks or projects that might be assigned by the Bookmaking strategy team.
  • Investigating and solving potential problems with Third Party Providers, communicating with them and reporting to whoever necessary.
  • Testing of new betting features and Third-Party Providers products/services.
  • Support the Bookmaking strategy team in establishing healthy and productive work environment across Sportsbook teams.
 
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING: 

Essential Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Math, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience, with demonstrated advanced analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to solve problems fast and leadership capacity to preserve order and discipline. 
  • Competent in Excel, other Microsoft Office programs and BI tools such as Tableau, Domo or similar platforms.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Basic knowledge of sports, with a focus on soccer
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and apply innovative, solution-oriented thinking in a fast-paced environment
