Position Summary
As a Maintenance Store Room Clerk, you will maintain stock, non-stock, consumable, and specialized parts for the Maintenance and Production Teams. You will be responsible for maintaining minimum stock levels and inventory in the storeroom. You’ll also manage new and existing vendor relationships.
Primary Responsibilities
Obtaining quotes and ordering all parts and materials for all departments of the facility and assist when needed for other Buckman facilities
Aid in cost control by compiling maintenance management costs, adhering to competitive bidding practices, and identifying opportunities for parts standardization
Develop and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate price and terms, optimize purchases based on service, lead time, cost. Provide feedback to vendors as appropriate
Report on storeroom metrics including out of stock, over-max, inventory accuracy, etc.
Reconcile invoices and track payments
Act as a liaison for any accounting work that is needed
Set up new vendors and contractors for invoicing in SAP and Concur
Qualifications
2 year college degree or equivalent college credit hours or 5 years of relative experience
Previous experience with parts ordering and inventory management preferred
SAP experience and working knowledge of maintenance parts including rotating equipment and instrumentation is a plus
