This is a fully remote, full-time, contractor role.


We're VOID Interactive, the kickass team behind the best-selling FPS game, Ready or Not. We're made up of some seriously talented individuals who love games and creating awesome content together. We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Lead UI/UX Designer to join us remotely and help us elevate Ready or Not to new heights. Our goal is strong: to establish Ready or Not as the quintessential FPS of our time.


As our Lead UI/UX Designer, you will take charge of designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall player experience. You will work closely with game designers, artists, and developers to ensure that UI/UX design is cohesive, intuitive, and aligns with the game’s vision.


In this role, you'll be in charge of:


  • Leading the design and development of UI/UX for Ready or Not, ensuring all elements are visually compelling, user-friendly, and technically feasible.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including game designers, programmers, and artists to create seamless user experiences.
  • Conducting user research and testing to refine and optimize game interfaces, ensuring player satisfaction.
  • Defining and implementing UX design best practices and processes across the team.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to other UI/UX team members, ensuring consistency and high quality across all design elements.
  • Creating wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications that communicate detailed interaction behaviors.
  • Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design, leveraging new technologies and tools to continuously improve the product.


Here’s what you'll be bringing to the team:


  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in UI/UX design, with at least 2 years in a lead role within the video game industry.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centered design, with examples of UI/UX for shipped game titles.
  • Unreal Engine experience, including but not limited to Blueprints and UMG.
  • Experience in creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead a team of designers and engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for creating intuitive, engaging, and immersive experiences.
  • Knowledge of the game development process and a deep understanding of how to optimize UI/UX for performance.
