Summary

As Lead Privacy Specialist, you'll manage privacy projects, enforce deadlines, and collaborate with stakeholders (customers, vendors, product/engineering teams). Responsibilities include coordinating across business units, working with senior management and legal on compliance, preparing/updating privacy documentation, conducting internal/external audits, driving training/awareness campaigns, and strengthening privacy processes. You'll need strong understanding of global data privacy laws (GDPR, DPDPA, LGPD, PDPL etc.) and the ability to analyze their practical implications, along with excellent communication and presentation skills.

What you will be doing? 

  • Work on assigned projects or work streams for compliance and data privacy and assist in enforcement of project deadlines, schedules and reporting 
  • Manage expectations of diverse stakeholders, including customers, vendors, product and engineering teams.  
  • Coordinate and manage activities across the business units and collaborate with virtual and multicultural teams 
  • Closely work with senior management and Legal regarding compliance and data privacy 
  • Assist in the preparation of privacy documentation, as well as updates to current ones 
  • Assist in planning and conducting process-led internal/ external audits, at planned intervals 
  • Drive training and awareness campaigns across the organization to build a privacy culture 
  • Strengthen design of key privacy processes and introduce innovative mechanisms to achieve regulatory resilience 

What do we expect? 

  • Someone who can be a self managed  
  • Proven experience in analyzing practical implications of legislative privacy requirements and implementation of recommendations to achieve privacy-aligned outcomes. We just don’t want you to find the problem, we need you to solve it! 
  • Legal professional is preferred 
  • Pro-active, passionate, self-starter with an excellent can-do attitude 
  • Candidates with background of working in large technology environments would be preferred 
  • Candidates with CIPP/CIPM/CIPT would be preferred 
  • Candidates with preliminary/advanced understanding of ad-tech industry would be preferred 
  • Candidates with Program Management experience would be preferred 
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience 

Job skill requirement 

  • Strong understanding of privacy concepts and global data privacy laws such as EU-GDPR, India DPDPA, Brazil LGPD, Indonesia PDPL etc. We focus on clarity of knowledge and not on quantity of knowledge 
  • Strong communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement 
  • Ability to analyze and interpret practical implication of privacy requirements  
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex environment 
  • Ability to present confidently to groups and senior stakeholders 
  • Ability and enthusiasm for understanding technical concepts to assist product and engineering teams in implementing practical privacy solutions.
