How will you make an impact with us?
As a Head of Economy, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining a sustainable game economy to drive player engagement, retention, and monetization. Your key responsibilities include:
Design & Balance Game Economy – Develop and maintain in-game economic systems, including virtual currencies, resource flows, and progression mechanics to ensure a fair and engaging player experience.
Monetization & Pricing Strategies – Implement economy-driven monetization models, including in-game purchases, offers, promotions, and dynamic pricing strategies.
Data-Driven Economy Optimization – Analyze player behavior, spending patterns, and key economic KPIs to refine game balance and optimize monetization strategies.
Live Operations & Promotions – Design and oversee in-game events, promotions, and rewards systems that enhance engagement and drive revenue growth.
Collaboration with Product & Development – Work closely with game designers, product managers, and engineers to integrate economic frameworks into gameplay features.
Segmentation & Personalization – Utilize segmentation tools to tailor economy strategies based on player behavior, retention models, and engagement levels.
Leadership & Team Management – Lead and mentor a team of economy designers and analysts, establishing best practices for game economy development.
Industry Research & Innovation – Stay informed on trends in social casino, iGaming, and free-to-play monetization, applying best practices and innovative approaches.
This is the right job for you if you have:
5+ years of experience in Game Economy Design, preferably in social casino/sweepstakes.
Strong background in game economy balancing, virtual currency systems, and player engagement models.
Proven people management skills—experience leading and mentoring teams.
Expertise in Excel, data modeling, and simulation tools.
Familiarity with technical tools for economy segmentation and simulation.
Strong analytical mindset—ability to interpret complex data and make economy adjustments.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills—ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Game Design, and Live Ops teams.
Self motivated and able to work independently without close supervision including ability to perform hands on activity on an ongoing basis.
Creativity in ideation related to game economy.
Surprise us with
Experience in behavioral economics and psychological pricing models.
Knowledge of SQL, Python, or VBA for advanced data analysis.
Familiarity with blockchain, NFTs, or emerging monetization technologies.
