Job Description 

We are looking for a Director Gameplay Design to join the team behind our upcoming ambitious title, Star Wars: Eclipse™. You will work closely with the creative leadership to define and refine the overall vision for gameplay mechanics, ensuring an immersive experience that captivates players. As a leader, you will adopt a strategic perspective while guiding a team of talented designers, collaborating with various departments to bring innovative and unforgettable concepts to life.

Responsibilities

    • Define the creative vision of gameplay for our videogame projects, in alignment with the overall artistic and narrative vision;
    • Lead and inspire the game design team, providing clear direction and a unified vision for gameplay;
    • Design innovative and immersive game mechanics that integrate harmoniously with the narrative and aesthetics of the game;  
    • Collaborate closely with management teams to ensure gameplay consistency and excellence across all aspects of the game;  
    • Conduct in-depth gameplay analyses and user tests to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation;
    • Ensure transparent communication and effective collaboration with other departments, including art, programming, and storytelling.

Experiences & Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Game Designer or Game Director, with specific expertise in gameplay design; 
    • Demonstrated ability to develop a macro vision of gameplay and communicate it convincingly to the team; 
    • Solid understanding of game design principles and emerging trends in the video game industry; 
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team; 
    • Passion for video games and commitment to artistic and storytelling excellence.
