DevOps Automation Engineer

Established in 2016, the Greek entity Arηs Developments Hellas aims to extend Arηs Group activities dedicated to the European market providing high-quality services in Software Development, covering the entire application development lifecycle: starting with user requirements, business process redesign and specifications, to continue with development, testing and application maintenance.

We are currently looking for a DevOps Automation Engineer to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations.

Tasks:

• Developing a comprehensive migration plan and engineering design
• Providing a clear and detailed roadmap outlining each phase of the migration
• Ensuring the design aligns with industry best practices for scalability, security, and performance
• Update existing documentation to reflect the proposed changes and migrations
• Creating robust automation scripts or tools for provisioning RKE2 clusters
• Ensuring repeatability and ease of management for future deployments
• Assisting relevant teams during the migration process
• Offering training and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth operation post-migration
• Engineering comprehensive diagrams and explanations
• Drafting specifications for hardware, software, and network configurations
• Updating existing documentation to reflect the proposed changes and migrations
• Providig scripts and pipelines for RKE2 cluster provisioning that using and adhere to client's automation ecosystem
• Providing documentation and guides for using and maintaining these pipelines and tools

Who you are:

Mandatory:

• The role requires an active security clearance.
• Bachelor plus 9 years of ICT experience (e.g., developer, system administrator, software engineer, infrastructure engineer, DevOps engineer, etc.) 
• Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Kubernetes, RKE and RKE2
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Kubernetes cluster management and migration
• Minimum of 4 years of experience with systems automation and provisioning using Infrastructure as Code.
• Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes. Deployment, configuration, management and troubleshooting of Kubernetes clusters. (like rke, rke2, rancher, k3d or k3s)
• Excellent knowledge of application containerization, packaging and deployment on Kubernetes clusters (helm charts, operators, pipelines).
• Good knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices (automation, pipelines, improved efficiency, feedback loops, fail fast, etc.)
• Good knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (IaC) tools and methodologies, such as terraform or puppet.
• Working knowledge of English: B2 Level

Desirable:  

• Certification:  Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
